Many of them charge a small fee but guarantee they will listen and provide specific feedback. We don't charge a membership fee so the onus is on us to keep the opportunities legit and interesting. Additionally, artists can comment and rate the professionals and opportunities they submit to so everything is above board. I won 1st place for Blues last year and all my prizes were honoured. With the notable exception of one sponsor, Luna guitars who behaved dishonourably much to the chagrin of myself and the ISC organisers. I can recommend ICS as honest and worth entering.
